the project is constructed with three materials to indicate 'earth', additive stereotomics, and wood tectonic elements on top.
a process of subtraction
these final forms emerged after extracting the inverse of a solid volume [white]. stereotomic elements [concrete] were then punctured into and placed atop this 'earth'. tectonics [wood] inform moments of movement, pause, and repetition to guide one through the space.

the entry area is light and open, while transition spaces are tighter to encourage movement. the space for reflection is dark and tucked away, with a focus on individual introspection.
